Wild Horses

It had been on my wildlife bucket list to photograph wild horses, and the opportunity arose when I was traveling to Salt Lake City. I drove a few hours outside the city through the desert landscape, and I was thrilled to be able to spend a few hours among the Onaqui wild horses. The Onaqui wild horse herd traces its origins to horses brought to the region by settlers and the U.S. Cavalry in the late 1800s.
